Pre-season and post-season - Dec 10 to Dec 24, and March 26-31.  Full cat rentals only, just $3600.  As conditions are variable, we don't collect payment until the night before - but if you have a group that's ready to go if the conditions are good, let us know.

Early Season Dec 26 - Jan 13 - normally a great time of year to come, with lots of cold snow and generally great skiing, though snowpack not yet as deep and not all the runs are accessible early on, there are still plenty of untracked runs available, and we open more as needed.  Standby seats most likely to be available during weekdays at this time. The 3-day, low-season rate is a great deal too.

High Season - Jan 14 to March 12 - The most consisent conditions of the year and the most popular.  Standby seats a rarity in February and early March.

Late Season - March 13 - March 26 - Often some of the best days of the year after fresh snowfalls, however the days are longer and snow is more sun-affected, especially after a few days without snow, and rain events are more likely

"Refundable" ticket costs an extra $100 and provides a full refund if the group is offered to reschedule because of poor conditions, or for documented medical situation (Trip cancellation insurance is cheaper, but doesn't cover poor conditions).  Those not choosing a "refundable" ticket will not receive a refund, but will be offered a transferable 2-season rain cheque if conditions are not safely skiable.  Most people just get the regular booking, as they plan on coming back anyway.
Most guests to Big Red Cats do an average of 3-4 days of cat skiing with us.   Many Europeans coming will book 6-7 days straight.   Lots of guests will also schedule a rest day in their cat skiing, so they might do 2 days of cat, have a rest day, and then do another 2 days of cat skiing.  (In this case you may want to ask Paula to do up the invoice, so that multi-day discount is still applied).
You can either find your own lodging, or we do own the Big Red Lodge and the Red Shutter Inn and Cabin.
