Big Red Catskiing Rossland BC Canada

Keith Robine

Lead Guide

Keith has been a guide with Big Red Cats from the beginning, now in its 14th season.

Keith has also been working his way down the corporate ladder for the past 35 years. He started working as an Environmental Engineer in San Francisco and is now in the enviable position of Ski Guide in the winter, and a part-time Mental Health Clinician for youth during the off season.

Keith also teaches our Avalanche Skills Training Courses (AST1) through his business, Kootenay Avalanche Courses. These courses are offered during our early season in December.

Keith is one of the co-authors of the new Avalanche Skills Training book, which has its first publication in 2018.

Keith’s other passions include his wife, 2 daughters, and rock climbing… which he has done on 5 different continents.
