Salaried Year-Round Alpine Guide - Supervisor and general duties

(ACMG: Ski Guide, CSGA: Level 3 IFMGA: Ski Guide/Bergfuehrer)

Number of Positions: 1

Qualifications:

*Certified Ski/Snowboard Guide (Level 3 CSGA or ACMG Ski Guide or foreign equivalent)

*Level 2 Avalanche Technician (Canadian Avalanche Association) minimum, level 3 preferred.  Or foreign equivalent.

*Advanced First Aid Attendant (80+ hours)

*Outstanding skiing or snowboarding skills

*Experience with chain sawing or brushing 

*Comfortable answering phones and running the office in off season

*Extra languages a plus

*Previous experience with Big Red Cats terrain and systems preferred

*References will be checked

Compensation:

Permanent position

$50,000/year.  Assumes 80 days during ski season, up to 6 days a week, and 90 days in off-season, exact dates flexible.  Bonus payable for additional time worked, or long summer holidays possible.

Includes lunch but not lodging.  Lodging can be arranged and incorporated into pay package if preferred.

Full-time, part-time, and casual positions available.  Full season or scheduled weeks.  Weather dependant.

Includes lunch but not lodging.  Lodging can be arranged and incorporated into pay package if preferred.

Tail Guides and Practicums:

CAA Level 1 Operations course and 80-hour Wilderness First Aid required
